On September 3-5, 2021, Associação Nacional de Estudantes de Engenharia Biomédica (ANEEB) promoted the second edition of the Biomedical Engineering Summit (BES), at the national headquarters of the Order of Engineers, in Porto and Lisbon. This event aims to disseminate innovative projects in the field of Biomedical Engineering, as well as discuss the importance of this sector in the national scene by bringing students, professionals and companies together. National and international renowned speakers, who addressed relevant issues in the field of Biomedical Engineering, highlighting the excellence that guides this multidisciplinary area that has been growing exponentially. There were several training moments, where dynamics and interaction were present, with knowledge sharing in the areas of robotic surgery and neurodegenerative diseases, along with moments of workshops (in different areas) and round tables. Thus, the Biomedical Engineering Summit had numerous activities to team building and create bonds between the event’s participants.
