The Annual Meeting of the Brazilian Physiological Society, one of the largest and most traditional gathering of Physiologists in Latin America, occurs annually in the second semester. Now in its 55th edition, the 2020 meeting will be held online, from October 4th to 8th. A full program of plenary conferences, symposia, and poster sessions covering a broad range of topics in Physiology will guarantee the appropriate environment for productive discussions about recent developments in Physiology, and its interfaces with Biochemistry, Biophysics, Pharmacology, and Medicine, among other disciplines. World leaders in several areas of Physiology, from different countries, from Europe and America and, of course, from Brazil, will attend our meeting this year! Besides broad representation in both national and international scenarios, the program will cover the different areas of our knowledge, from General Physiology, Comparative Physiology, Physiology of Organs and Systems as well as Physiology of Exercise. Hugo Silva, IEEE EMBS PT secretary, will be a keynote speaker and will give a cycle of workshops on physiological signals and medical instrumentation.
