On October 11 and 12, 2019, Associação Nacional de Estudantes de Engenharia Biomédica (ANEEB) promoted the first edition of the Biomedical Engineering Summit (BES), at the national headquarters of the Order of Engineers, in Lisbon. This event aims to disseminate innovative projects in the field of Biomedical Engineering, as well as discuss the importance of this sector in the national scene. By bringing students, professionals and companies together, it becomes possible to discuss in more detail, on the first day, the Machine Learning in Healthcare theme and, on the second day, Tissue Engineering and Biological Devices.
Aftermath:
At the closing session, Hugo Silva, treasurer of IEEE EMBS, was able to present the chapter, indicating that it intends to promote innovation by bringing students closer to the labor market.
